Collection and Transportation

How the purchased vehicle will be delivered to you is up to you:

Copart Transport

Instruct Copart to transport the vehicle to you. If you wish, we will deliver your auctioned vehicle up to a distance of 1,000 kilometers from the respective vehicle location/Copart yard within Germany and neighboring countries. More information can be found here.

Pickup

You can pick up the vehicle within 14 days from the date of purchase at the Copart location where it is stored. Here you can find all information about our locations and opening hours.

 
 

To Register with Copart You Will Need the Following Documents:

Private Customer

We only need your ID card and an online legitimation of the ID card before you can start bidding on vehicles and purchase them.

Commercial Buyers

Upload a copy of your business registration as well as a copy of your ID or other identification document in your member area under "Upload documents".

Commercial Buyers from the EU

Upload a copy of your business registration as well as a copy of your ID or any other document for your identification in your member area under "Upload documents". Companies with an EU VAT ID must provide this in order to ensure correct invoicing.

Payment Methods

Copart Online Payments – The Secure Payment Method
Copart enables you to make simple and secure online payments. This is how it works:

  • Payment Process: When you proceed to payment, you can securely complete various available online payment methods.
  • Quick Confirmation: After completing the transaction, you will receive a confirmation of the payment. This speeds up the entire sales process.
  • Instant Payment: You can make secure online transfers of up to 50,000 euros free of charge. You will receive your payment confirmation within seconds – no matter what time of day or night.
  • Bank Transfer: By selecting this payment method, you make a classic bank transfer from your online banking or local bank. Please use the IBAN stated in the payment invitation and the exact reason for payment. You will then receive a payment confirmation within 1-2 working days.

Your Advantages: Online payments increase transaction security. You benefit from improved user-friendliness and fast and efficient processing of your vehicle purchases.

The payment methods are as followed:

  • Your invoice for the vehicle you pay by bank transfer
  • Your invoice for reinstatement fee: pay comfortably by bank transfer or credit card payment (Visa / Mastercard)
  • Your invoice for stand costs/late fee: pay by EC card at the yard at the time of pick-up or by credit card payment (Visa / Mastercard) or also by bank transfer
  • Your invoice for delivery costs you can comfortably pay by bank transfer or by credit/debit card payment

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Absolutely. Members who are logged in have the ability to add items to their Watchlist, which can be viewed both on your computer and on your mobile device. Adding items to the Watchlist is the best way to monitor the vehicles that you’re most interested in.

Similarly, we provide a feature online that allows you to save searches. This saves time for those Members who have searches they run repeatedly.

How can I buy cars in other Copart locations around the world?
Copart sells vehicles from many countries around the world. If you are interested in buying in other countries, please register on the suitable website of the country. Your registration documents will be checked and after you have paid your registration fee you can start bidding and buying. An overview of all Copart locations can be found an our „Locations“ page or on the footer of our website.

This is one of our most popular questions! With vehicles up for auction regularely, the odds are that we will have what you’re looking for.

The simplest way to find a particular vehicle is to type a word or phrase into the Search toolbar at the top of any Copart page or within the Vehicle Finder. Then see what the search results generate for you.

For a more advanced search, use our Vehicle Finder to find vehicles that fall into one or more of these groups:

  • Vehicle Type
  • Damage / Salvage Type
  • Featured Items
  • Purchase Options
  • Current Bid Price

You can also search by year, make, model, location, VIN and lot number.

If you find a search that works for you, save your search so you can run similar search results whenever you return to Copart.

Another way to search vehicles is to download the CSV Sales Data once you are logged in as a member. This spreadsheet allows you to sort vehicle data to determine which vehicle thumbnail images to view.

In our auctions you have the possibility to buy used, mostly damaged cars. There are automobiles, LCVs, motorcycles and several more for you to bid on. Please also check out all available categories on our Vehicle Finder page.

Yes. Although Copart provides up to 20 high-quality images and accurate descriptions for each vehicle, any information provided by the Seller or Copart is for convenience only. Therefore, it is your responsibility to confirm, research, inspect and investigate a vehicle prior to bidding on it. That’s why Copart invites you to our locations to preview vehicles of interest.

Want to preview vehicles at a location near you?
Copart Members may preview vehicles at no cost Monday to Friday between 8:30 and 16:30 – Please arrange an appointment. Non-members are welcome at the locations, too, but will be charged a visitor fee for each location visit and must be accompanied by a Member.

Not a Member? Register today. Upon arrival at the yard, you will be escorted to your vehicle of interest, where you will find the vehicle waiting for inspection.

Can I place bids directly on the yard?
There are bid terminals on all our yards which give you the possibility to place kiosk bids directly on the yard.

Is there a guest WiFi on the yard and a printer?
On all locations we have bidding terminals and of course there is a guest WiFi for you to use free of charge. If you need to print documents that are needed for the sale of a car or the transport of it, you can use one of our printers.

When can I pick up my car?
Your pickup on our yards is possible from Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Currently now it is not possible to pick up your car on Saturdays.
